In the area of design and manufacturing of mechanical equipment, RAMEM
is involved in a large variety of projects, ranging from H2 and Methanol Fuel
Cell prototypes, to competition sailing-boat parts.

H2 Fuel and Methanol Fuel Cells

These cells generate electricity directly from fuel,
converting chemical energy without any type of
intermediate combustion cycle.

Their future appears to be very promising in areas such
as the automobile industry, where they will substitute the
existing internal combustion engine.

It is also thought that they may be useful in portable
devices, such as mobile phones, GPS, calculators…

They do not produce pollutants.
Combustibles: hydrogen or methanol.

H2 500W fuel cell development.

Together with CSIC, INTA and others, RAMEM s.a. is one
of the main participants in the consortiumwhich aims to
develop various types of fuel cells. Already, a H2 500W fuel
cell has been created.

RPV: Remotely Piloted Vehicle, Aerodynamic Model

For the Spanish Ministry of Defence, RAMEM s.a. has    constructed a 1:3 scale model of a Remotely Piloted
Vehicle for testing in a wind-tunnel.

This aircraft is to be used for aerial vigilance. To obtain
the  wing’s geometry we used a numeric file. The next
step was  to create the CAD model of the wings and
then the CAM tool  paths for the model’s manufacture.

 Components for the Spanish yacht
  team’s America’s Cup bid

RAMEM s.a. has supplied the last two competing
 Spanish yachts with components.

The majority of these parts, which demonstrate the
 highest of mechanical performance qualities,were
manufactured from titanium alloys and stainless steel.
