The main objective of a DMA is to obtain ions of an exact size,with the lowest dispersion error possible. The equipment has been developed and manufactured by RAMEM for Yale University’s Mechanical Engineering Department. RAMEM was responsible for redesign, manufacture and assembly, based on a previous Yale design. Due to its high precision, this equipment is classified by Yale as offering the highest quality on the market. RAMEM has the licence from this university to supply the equipment worldwide.
